Truce Triptych Selected for Festival in Paris
Image from Truce Triptych by Eelyn Lee
Hot on the heels of Life and Deaf picking up the RITTER SPORT Film Prize in Berlin last month, we are delighted to announce that another of short film by Eelyn Lee has been selected for an international festival. Truce Triptych will screen as part of this year's Les Rencontres Internationales [The International Meeting] in Paris which runs from 30th Nov - 8th Dec.
Inspired by Old Master paintings, Truce Triptych comprises three slow-moving tableaux images depicting scenes of conflict and resolution on the streets, at home and in the workplace. It has already been well-received in the Tanks at Tate Modern and at various Peace One Day events.
Eelyn Lee worked in collaboration with young people from east London; cinematographer Winstan Whitter and photographers Tim & Barry to create this compelling piece of moving image work.
The film was commissioned by A New Direction as part of their Headstart Programme.
